The average family spends at least $600 per child for clothing and accessories each year not to mention all the gear babies need. Gumdrop Swap is a unique spin on children's consignment that allows you to buy stylish new and gently used kids items for a fraction of retail! You bring your gently used children's items. We "buy" your items with credits called gumdrops. You use those credits to shop in our boutique. When you pay with your credits you get huge discounts off our already unbelievably low priced clothing, shoes, toys, gear, and equipment.
Swapping vs consignment
Consignment stores try to sell
your unwanted items for you. If they sell, they pay you a percentage of
the sale (typically 40%-50%). The longer they remain, the more they are
marked down. What doesn't sell can be picked up or they'll be donated.
They accept only expensive brands to increase the chance they'll sell.
You must bring your items in perfect condition and ironed. This is an
option if you only have high-end items in perfect condition and are
willing to play the waiting game.
If you don't have time to perfectly prep your unwanted items or the patience to wait for them to sell and be paid. Gumdrop Swap is your guaranteed "buyer"! We don't pay cash but as long your items are in good to new condition, we will award you with store credits we call "gumdrops". Please bring clothing that has been freshly laundered and folded in a bag, bin, or suitcase (preferably something reusable so you can take your purchases home in it as well). We will donate anything unsuitable to sell for you if you don't want them back. You can spend your credits right away- no waiting! You pay a 30% fee (swap fee) of the used clothing/shoes total. So for every gumdrop dollar you use, you only pay $.30. That's 70% off! The swap fee for gear, equipment, toys, and new clothing/shoes is 60%.So for every gumdrop dollar you use for these items, you only pay $.60.That's a savings of 40% off our already low prices for our non-swappers. We take ALL SEASONS and ALL BRANDS!We accept gently used maternity clothing, kids clothing from Preemie to pre-teen, shoes, books, sanitized/clean toys (no stuffed animals), gear, equipment, bedding/nursery decor, playpens, bouncers, strollers, high chairs, swings, etc. (see below for things we do not accept). Not listed here? Email gumdropswap@gmail.com or call 800-385-6080. Appointments are appreciated but not required. Shop while your items are inspected and their Gumdrop value determined. We will create an account for you and you can spend your gumdrop credits immediately or on another visit. In addition to apparel, you can swap equipment like In a hurry? Feel free to drop off your items and we can call/email you with a gumdrops credit total.
